Skype For Business For Mac Client With Sierra (10.12.6)

I've updated to the latest Sierra (macOS Sierra Version 10.12.6), and now my system is horrible slow. When I open any program (even repeatedly), it takes like 1-2 minutes to show up, even 'System. Mac macbook ios macos-sierra.

  1. OSX High Sierra 10.13.2 - Skype for Business (16.13.184) open in the background - battery lasts maybe 2 or 3 hours. Skype, doing nothing, ranked #1 energy impact in Activity Monitor. When I am travelling I have to kill skype on the mac otherwise I am out of juice.
  2. The new MacBook runs the Sierra OS, which is supported with the new SfB Mac client, so - you’re good! (It’s also supported on El Capitan if you aren’t an “update-aholic”.) To get Outlook integration, you’ll need to have the Outlook for Mac build 15.27.

Important

Skype for Business Server 2015 and Skype for Business Online support the following previously released clients: Lync 2013, Lync 2010, Lync 2010 Mobile, Lync Phone Edition, and Lync 2010 Attendant. Basic client limitations

The features below are available using the Full client and are not available with the Basic client:

Online or Hybrid user account limitations

User accounts can exist either Online or On-premises, and that will affect the features available to that user. Users with accounts on Skype for Business Online will not have access to the following features, even with the Full client:

  • Contacts: Search for Response Groups
  • IM Support: Persistent Chat (Group Chat) integration

Can’t sign into Skype for Business on Mac on networks that require proxy configuration

User can’t sign into Skype for Business on Mac on a network that uses network proxy server without configuring the HTTP proxy setting. User does not see any error.

Workaround: Configure the HTTP proxy setting in the Skype for Business on Mac sign-in info with the correct credential.
