Sonicwall Global Vpn Client For Mac Os
SonicWall Mobile Connectâ„¢ provides users full network-level access to corporate and academic resources over encrypted SSL VPN connections. The client provides anytime, anywhere access to critical applications such as email, virtual desktop sessions and other macOS applications. 1.Introduction 2 1. Introduction This document describes how VPN Tracker can be used to establish a connection between a Macintosh running Mac OS X and a SonicWALL Internet Security Appliance.
I have tried to look up this answer on my own; but am not finding any definitive answer.
From what I can tell, SonicWall does not offer their GlobalVPN Client in an OS X-compatible version. Since this program is essentially free-of-cost to end-users who use it to connect to their firewalls at their office, I am wondering if there is another program that I can use that will allow me to connect to the SonicWall at work that is also free of charge.
It would seem the onus of this responsibility lies with SonicWall but repeated calls to their support and sales team yield very little usable information.

Sonicwall Global Vpn Client Setup
The VPN support in the TZ210 is going to be faster, and more hardened, than anything you will be able to get from the server. There are instruction sets through the knowledgebase side of SonicWALL that can assist you in setting up the VPN side, if you need more than the defaults. The tech support crew are very helpful of walking you through the nuances.
I use TZ200's for site-to-site and global VPNs for my clients because of the need to have Bonjour support between sites. I use VPNTracker from Equinux on the laptop macs to connect back, because it's quick, and supports many advanced features of the TZ that the built-in VPN software on a Mac client does not.
You will want to set up the TZ WAN Global setup to drop you into the network, not a particular IP (host->network). If you are using the SLS as your DHCP server, then you will want to use the SLS to provide you the DHCP address (you do this by setting up the DHCP over VPN section to get the info from another IP address, not from the internal server).
As to users, I set up trusted users on the TZ, to limit external access, but the choice is yours.
You may also want to look into using SonicWALL NetExtender, instead of another VPN client, to connect in. You will get full multi-casting connectivity over a SSL-VPN connection. There is a windows version as well.
